Background

This leading European manufacturer of home improvement products distributes to both trade and home delivery customers across 25 countries. Within the UK, changes to delivery profiles combined with imminent change in manufacturing location meant that a transport review was urgently required. 

Project

The UK subsidiary of this east European manufacturer of goods for the retail market was experiencing end to end supply chain and logistics issues in delivering to demanding UK retail ordering profiles and a lack of visibility of promotional activity. Following a transport review, Davies & Robson consultants determined the optimum infrastructure.

Challenge

To implement the commercial, structural and operational recommendations a Davies & Robson Interim Manager was appointed to manage the work streams and deliver the changes required. Davies & Robson selected Jean-Pierre to assess the quickest available deliverables to stabilise the operation and customer service levels. Addressing:
