Engaged to support a struggling fast moving, complex and labour intensive manufacturing and supply chain operation. The initial brief was to stabilise service and volume levels following a period of growth which had been challenging for the operation.
A Davies & Robson interim manager was retained to support a number of new store openings achieving smooth implementations, matching the forecasted budget and developing a template for future openings.
Analysing the daily operational processes and implement process change to maximize productivity and minimize cost. Due to an ever changing Senior Management Team the contract was extended to cover the daily running of the Production Factory, managing a 200+ workforce and reviewing the business as a whole.
Operational performance was improved through an analysis and reconfiguration of supply chain processes and their interface with manufacturing. Following from a stable operation these changes also resulted in a 15% operational cost saving.
Also established appropriate KPIs and re-negotiated and implemented all management contracts, pay structures bonus schemes.
