Major 3PL – Interim Project Operations Manager
Led the start-up of an Amazon cross-dock operation in Doncaster, redesigning floor layout and processes ahead of implementation to reduce labour cost exposure. Managed the live operation through launch and mentored the management team through handover.
Previously at another 3PL, Chris acted as Interim Senior Operations Manager for a 450,000 sq ft Amazon fulfilment centre start-up, integrating labour, systems and training during go-live and embedding SOPs and management routines.
Chris brings over 20 years’ experience delivering warehouse start-ups, turnarounds and improvement programmes for a number of 3PLs, retailers and multiple e-commerce businesses. His career includes responsibility for sites of up to 600 staff, Black Friday and Christmas peak delivery, WMS migrations (including Manhattan), and sustained labour cost reductions of up to 45% while improving service levels.
