The Entertainer: Head of UK & eCommerce Logistics

BACKGROUND

The Entertainer is a toy retailer with a turnover of £199m, 163 stores and significant e-commerce operations. The business was founded in 1981 by the Grant family and has been built on a reputation of great products and exceptional customer service.

PROJECT

Following acquisitions in the UK and Europe, including the Early Learning Centre, there was a requirement to increase the capability of The Entertainer’s senior logistics team. To enable the current Logistics Director to focus on the growing global operations, a need for a UK Head of Logistics was identified; someone with the capability of managing both the newly integrated business for an in-house e-com operation and a third-party operation supplying all UK stores.
